Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about this diagnostic instrument, calibration procedures, and display technical standards.
01.How do I test my controller for stick drift online?
Connect your controller via USB or Bluetooth, press any button to activate the HTML5 Gamepad API, and rotate your analog sticks. Our inspector tracks raw axis vectors, circularity error %, and center dead-zone drift.
02.What is an acceptable stick drift percentage?
A drift vector under 5.0% is normal for new controllers. Drift between 5.0% and 12.0% can be compensated with in-game dead-zone settings. Drift exceeding 15.0% typically indicates potentiometer wear requiring cleaning or replacement.
03.Does this tool support DualSense, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch controllers?
Yes. Display Test Online supports all Web Gamepad API compatible controllers including Sony PS5 DualSense, Xbox Series X/S, Switch Pro Controller, Steam Deck, and third-party Hall-effect gamepads.
