How to Test Your Audio Hardware Like a Pro
- Disable Enhancements: Turn off all EQ, spatial audio (like Dolby Atmos), and bass boost settings on your device to hear the raw hardware capability.
- Set Baseline Volume: Start at 50% volume. Increase to 80% to test for high-excursion distortion, but avoid 100% for prolonged periods to prevent hearing and speaker damage.
- Listen for Separation: A high-quality speaker or headphone will allow you to hear individual instruments distinctly, rather than a blurred "wall of sound".
- Check Left/Right Balance: Ensure the stereo image is perfectly centered. If one side is louder or quieter, there may be a hardware imbalance or dirty speaker mesh.
