No. 100% of the video recording and encoding takes place inside your device's browser memory (RAM). Zero video data is ever sent across the network, ensuring complete privacy.
03.How do I download my recorded video file?
Once you click 'Stop & Save', an instant video preview player appears along with a 'Download Video' button that exports the recorded WEBM video directly to your downloads folder.
04.Can I switch between multiple cameras and external webcams?
Yes. Use the camera device drop-down selector in the top bar to switch between built-in laptop cameras, USB webcams, and mobile camera sensors.
05.Why does my browser request microphone permission?
Microphone permission is required to synchronize live audio with your video feed so your recorded file includes crisp speech and sound.
06.What video codecs are supported for recording?
The MediaRecorder engine automatically selects modern VP9 or VP8 video codecs combined with Opus audio encoding for optimal clarity and small file size.
07.Is there a limit on how long I can record?
Recording length is limited only by your computer's available browser RAM memory. For standard 1080p recordings, several minutes of video consume less than 100MB of RAM.
08.Can I pause and resume my recording?
Yes. Clicking 'Pause' halts video chunk collection without stopping the session. Click 'Resume' when you are ready to continue capturing video.
